Vintage 1978 9 Carat Gold Mounted Carved Shell Cameo Brooch / Pendant

Stunning Vintage 1978 9 Carat Gold Mounted Carved Shell Cameo Brooch / Pendant. Beautifully carved female profile, possibly Hera, lovely delicate features and stunning detail. Set in yellow gold surround.

There is a loop to the top at the rear of the mount for wearing as a pendant, please see photos. With excellent working safety clasp fastener. Height: 28.6mm (1.12).

Width: 23.3mm (0.92). Depth: 6.6mm (0.26). Comes in a gift box, not the original box.

I have given it a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish, as this can ruin a patina. There may be the odd age related wear/mark commensurate with age.
